Alexandre Nix is a TV writer, podcast producer, web developer, and co-founder of Uncool Artist, a global community for contemporary visual artists based in Brooklyn, NY
Born in L.A., and raised in Rio, Alexandre wrote and published the first universal Brazilian RPG system, short stories in magazines, and online literary articles for the country’s largest-circulation newspaper at the time. After a semi-professional career playing blues in Rio, London, Paris, and New Orleans he worked for 5 years as an adman in São Paulo before becoming a screenwriter.
Starting his new career on a famous Brazilian comedy show, he quickly moved on to the less interesting but more profitable genres of TV in the country: live TV, cooking shows, reality shows, and talent shows. As a side project, he created a network of comedy podcasts and game shows that he produced, edited, and wrote.
After writing and localizing the premiere season of “Dancing With The Stars” in 2017, Nix moved to NYC where he continued writing TV shows for Brazil and commercials for the US and Europe until co-founding Uncool Artist where he developed a private social media platform for contemporary artists.
After 8 years building and running his company, in 2025 he returned to Brazil looking for new opportunities to create fun projects on the side.
